Project Happy Feet

Each fall, Chicora Rotary proudly conducts Project Happy Feet, one of our signature annual service projects dedicated to helping local children in need. Through this program, we partner with JCPenney at Coastal Grande Mall to provide children in our community with a brand-new pair of shoes, ensuring they have comfortable, well-fitting footwear for the school year.

For many families, the cost of new shoes can be a significant burden. Project Happy Feet helps ease that burden while giving children the opportunity to participate in the experience of choosing a pair of shoes they love.

This project is made possible through the generosity of our Rotary members, an annual grant from Rotary District 7770, amazing community partners such as JCPenney and the guidance counselors at our Myrtle Beach schools, and volunteers who believe that small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.

Each year, Project Happy Feet reminds us that service doesn't always have to be complicated. Sometimes, changing a child's day—and even their future—can begin with something as simple as a new pair of shoes.  Together, we can help local children put their best foot forward.
