Each year, Chicora Rotary is proud to recognize the courage, professionalism, and selfless service of the men and women of the City of Myrtle Beach Fire Department through our annual Firefighter of the Year Award.

This special event is our opportunity to express gratitude to the firefighters who work tirelessly to protect our community. The award honors the firefighter who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, integrity, and commitment to serving the citizens of Myrtle Beach.

The City of Myrtle Beach Fire Department nominates outstanding firefighters for consideration, and a committee of Chicora Rotarians carefully reviews the nominations to select the recipient of the Firefighter of the Year Award. While one firefighter is ultimately chosen as the annual honoree, we traditionally recognize four outstanding finalists whose service and accomplishments deserve to be celebrated.

To show our appreciation, Chicora Rotary presents each finalist with a special prize package made possible through the generosity of our members, local businesses, and community supporters.
