Waves Of The Future – Teacher Flyer 2024

, ,

We hope that all Horry County Schools’ Administrators, Fine Arts Teachers, and Students are looking forward to the 2024 Waves Performance, which will build on our success from previous years. We hope even more schools will prepare, submit YouTube videos of their performances for audition, and e-mail the link to Scott Scrivner.

To preserve the integrity of each performance, there are a few guidelines that are in place for audition submissions:

  1. Each performance must be 5 minutes or less (on and off stage);
  2. Performers in any group should be limited to students only (adults can direct but not perform);
  3. The video submitted must contain the specific repertoire the group will perform; and
  4. It is best to submit separate groups to show off the talents of the experienced students (we recommend that you not combine groups).

Our goal is to create a diverse program, showcasing the talents of students of all ages from the entire county.  100% of net ticket revenues will again go to Horry County Schools’ Fine Arts programs according to a formula developed by the school district, as well as to local and international charitable Rotary projects.

Submission Requirements that must be included within the submission email are: School name, Director’s name, Group name, Selection name, 2 to 3 sentence introduction, and number of student performers.

NOTE:  Due to time and space constraints, only Teachers, Participating Students, and Approved Chaperons are permitted to attend Dress Rehearsal.
